অন্ধকারের আপন কোনো রশ্মি নেই, সেটা কেবল পথ-রুদ্ধ আলো, নিভে যাওয়া দীপ। আলোরপথ প্রশস্ত করা আর দীপ জ্বালিয়ে যাওয়াটাই শুভ জিহাদ, মঙ্গল কর্ম।
সবার জন্য এটা চাওয়া হলো মানব প্রেম, সবার তরে করাটাই মানবতা। এতে ব্যর্থ বলেই আমরা জীবন্ত দেহে মৃত আত্মা নিয়ে অন্ধকারে হাতরে বেড়াই। ধীরে ধীরে অন্ধকার সয়ে যায়, আলোর বাসনা হারিয়ে যায়, অন্ধকারকেই নিয়তি ভেবে সামগ্রিক অন্ধকারেই বন্দি হয়ে থাকি।

Darkness has no rays of its own, it is merely light path-blocked, lamp out of flame. Keeping the door wider open for light and the lamp alight is the good jihad, the good karma.
To wish this for everyone is love for humanity, and to do it yourself for the sake of everyone is humanity. Failing in this, we keep wandering in darkness with a dead soul in a living body.
Gradually, darkness is endured, the desire for light is lost, darkness is accepted as destiny, and thus we remain mired in the all-engulfing darkness.
